Guy Fawkes Night

Guy Fawkes Night

Every year, on the fifth of November it’s celebrated in Britain the Guy Fawkes Night, also known as Bonfire Night or Gunpowder Treason Day. Guy Fawkes was one of the men who tried to blow up the Houses of Lords, attempting called Gunpowder Plot led by Sir Robert Catesby, but who was caught when guarding 36 barrels of gunpowder right beneath it.

They celebrate the fact that King James I survived, just like we did in our school by burning up a dummy representing Guy Fawkes and launching fireworks. We had free chestnuts and drinks and also some candies for sale. During all night we had music of the DJs MJ, Mgs and Pinho. It was a night to remember because it was the first time they celebrated it in our school and it was fantastic.
